This Aussie outback experience includes Airboats, cruise of the rainforest wetlands, Breakfast on the Cruise boat, Guided tour of wetlands where you will see crocodiles, waterbirds and plenty of native flora and fauna.

Guided tours of ancient landscapes and rock art in the Kimberley region. Heli-Fishing from Home Valley Station. Gorge cruises at Chamberlain Gorge, visit a WWII plane wreck and much more…

Day 1
DARWIN

Welcome to Darwin. Depending on your arrival time into Darwin the day is free to have a look around town or sit at a pub and have 1 or 2 light refreshments.

Day 2
HOME VALLEY STATION

Today’s flight has a bit of everything in it and is a great way to begin from wetlands, Coastal beaches and stunning red cliffs, wild brumbies, buffalo and the start of some amazing rock formations.

Landing at Bullo River Station for Lunch.

After lunch back on Board and continue west. This afternoons’ flight will take us over the famous Ord River, Wyndham and the stunning Cockburn range before arriving at Home Valley Station for the next 2 nights.

Depending on arrival time we might get some fishing in along the Ord River BIG BARRA

Dinner and drinks at the Dusty Bar and Grill with some live music.

Day 3
HOME VALLEY STATION

Fish and explore the surrounding rivers including Pentecost, Durack, Salmon and Nulla. Return for lunch or cook a Barra on the coals.

Day 4
KIMBERLEY COASTAL CAMP

Stunning morning flight today, along the west coast enjoying the amazing colours of the Kimberley. Fly over Donkins falls, Mitchell Falls and Roe River and have a fish along the way.

Once we arrive at Kimberley Coastal Camp experience a guided walk to the rock art (well worth seeing) or just relax around the camp or have a swim and help yourself to unlimited bar.

Day 5
KIMBERLEY COASTAL CAMP

Out on the boats today with some great bottom bashing, trolling for a mackerel or GT. Enjoy beautiful fresh cooked Finger mark on the beach for lunch.

Kimberley Coastal Camp is truly an amazing place you will experience this remote majestic part of the Kimberley with owners Tub & Jules. The camp is nestled on the pristine shores of the Admiralty Gulf in the heart of the Kimberley. You won’t want to leave….

Day 6
DRYSDALE RIVER STATION

Spend the day fishing the rivers around home Valley including the Durack, Salmon and Nulla rivers.

Drysdale is a great spot to stop overnight and have a few in the beer garden. Drysdale Station is an operating inland cattle station...Good comfy beds and friendly outback service.

Day 7
HORIZONTAL FALLS

Another special morning of flying today as we leave Drysdale and head for The Prince Regent River, King Cascade Falls, Walcott Inlet, Talbot Bay and mile after Mile of more amazing Kimberley Coastline and depending on the time of year even some whales before we arrive at Horizontal Falls for the next 24 hours ,

Once we check in to our boat Accom we will be off to explore Talbot Bay, some of the activities today will be a fast boat ride thru the Horizontal Falls, shark feeding, fishing ,swimming plus more

Return to our Accommodation for a drink on the rooftop bar and some star gazing into the clear night sky of The Kimberley

Day 8
LAKE ARGYLE

Enjoy an inland flight before landing at Lake Argyle for Lunch.

Experience the Lake for the sunset cruise for the afternoon on board the Kimberley Durack, the cruise is full of information about the Dam and you can even jump in for a swim and enjoy a beer or wine while floating on a pool noodle , the Lake has over 30000 fresh water crocodiles that call it home

Day 9
DARWIN

Departing from Argyle you begin to head north for your last day of flying back to Darwin , first stop will be on top of another stunning waterfall for some great pics , Bullo River for fuel and lunch at Crab Claw Island before heading back into Darwin over Bynoe Harbour

Option for the day Is at Outback Float Planes located on Knuckeys Lagoon, this tour is amazing and recommended .

The tour includes fresh Barramundi Lunch on board Cyclone Creek, air boat tour of the Rainforest getting up close and personal with some saltwater Crocs and many other varieties of wildlife and a few fast laps of the wetlands on board the 500 hp air boat, a great way to finish off the Safari

Extra cost is $495 pp

Dinner tonight is our last dinner where we I’m sure we will swap some amazing pics , argue who got the biggest fish and talk about the amazing memories that you now have of The Kimberley , maybe even start planning your next Compass Helicopters Safari somewhere else in Australia

FAQ's

What clothing do I need to pack?

A. Pack casual and comfortable clothing. Compass Helicopter Safaris can involve a lot of walking over uneven ground please bring comfortable closed in walking shoes. Casual light weight clothing for every day. Bring your swimmers. Pack a light weight water resistant jacket, long pants for night time (for insect protection in some areas), a long sleeved thermal top is handy for cool changes in weather. Swimwear and a sun shirt or rash shirt and hat.

Q. Can I make telephone calls?

A. We have a satellite phone for emergencies and to contact our office each day. Depending on the Safari you are on your itinerary will have phone range and access to phones noted for each destination.

Q. How much luggage can I take?

A. On most Safaris we ask that you bring a soft carry on size bag that weighs no more than 7 kilograms Including handbags, cameras etc
