Begin your next holiday by boarding a luxury helicopter for the trip of a lifetime. The helicopter tour begins in the Hunter Valley, Sydney or Lake Macquarie. Visiting some great destinations along the way.

Enjoy a VIP Helicopter landing at Cassegrain Winery near Port Macquarie followed by lunch & a cellar door and wine tour.

During your Helicopter holiday soak up the scenery of the East coast of NSW and Queensland. Keep a look out for dolphins, dugongs, whales and turtles.

Day 1
Hunter Valley Wine to Byron Bay

Depart from either Newcastle Airport, Hunter Valley, Sydney or Lake Macquarie. 1st stop Port Macquarie for Cellar Door and lunch tour through the renowned Cassegrain Estate, enjoy the gardens, cellar door and a French inspired lunch at Seasons Cafe Restaurant. After lunch you will enjoy the panoramic views and beaches on the NSW east coast flying over Crescent Head renowned for it's surfing beaches, South West Rocks for great diving and the Old Trial Bay Gaol and Coffs Harbour. From Ballina to Byron Bay for the night. We will land at our accommodation Elements of Byron. Relax by the stunning lagoon pool enjoying full barefoot bar service...

Day 2
Byron Bay to Gold Coast

Across the border to the Gold Coast staying the night and enjoying a great dinner.

Day 3
Gold Coast to 1770

Depart Gold Coast north along the magnificent white sands and crystal blue ocean, keep an eye out for the large array of sea animals dugongs, turtles, sharks, dolphins....take in the sights of the Fraser Coastline and Great Sandy Straight. Enjoy lunch at Fraser Island or Woodgate Tavern.

Enjoy a short flight to 1770, spending the night at Lagoons 1770 Resort & Spa, great food and fantastic spot.

Day 4
1770 to Airlie Beach

Depart 1770 heading up the coast landing at the Whitsunday Airport Shute Harbour for a night in Airlie Beach. Celebrate the trip at one of the many waterfront bars and restaurants.

Frequently asked Questions

Q. What clothing do I need to pack?

A. Pack casual and comfortable clothing. The Helicopter Safaris can involve walking over uneven ground. Please bring comfortable closed in walking shoes. Casual light weight clothing for every day. Bring your swimmers. Pack a light weight water resistant jacket, long pants for night time (for insect protection in some areas), a long sleeved thermal top is handy for cool changes in weather. Swimwear and a sun shirt or rash shirt and hat.

What luggage can I take?

Baggage Allowance – Soft bags compulsory. Total of 10kg of baggage per person, to include a “Carry On” size bag (purse, laptop, camera included in 10kg) Maximum baggage dimensions (“Carry On” size): Length 48cm (19in) / Width 34cm (13in) / Height 23cm (9in)

Do I have to have a high level of fitness?

All Helicopter Safaris are tailored to suit different people and fitness levels. We advise you have an average level of fitness with the ability to walk on uneven ground for some tours. Compass Helicopters include many tours throughout the Safari and it is up to the individual customer to take part in the tours or to enjoy a relaxing few hours. You must advise us at the time of booking of any disability, medical condition or dietary requirements. Please note we will endeavour to cater to your needs but there will be some tours you may not be able to participate in for your health and safety or the health and safety of others on the tour.

Will it cost more to travel on my own?

Yes a single supplement applies, however if there is another customer prepared to twin share you could choose to share.
